Produce Packages, Week of 3/20/23

Starter Produce Package Contents
- Russet Potatoes from Burnt Rock Farm. Store potatoes in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area. Root cellars, cool pantries, or a basket on your countertop all work well! Enjoy within a month. Certified Organic.
- Fingerling Potatoes from Burnt Rock Farm. Same deal as above! Eat these first, though, as they have thinner skins and won't store as well. Certified Organic.
- Rainbow Carrots from Jericho Settlers Farm in Jericho, VT. Store them in your crisper drawer, eat often! Kept cold and at the proper humidity, carrots will last for months in your fridge. If you’ve got some older carrots in your fridge that are looking a bit sad, a quick rinse and soak in cold water can revive them. Certified Organic.
- Baby Chioggia Beets from Jericho Settlers Farm in Jericho, VT. Store these exactly like carrots - heck, they can even snuggle together. Certified Organic.
- Shamrock Apples from Champlain Orchards in Shoreham, VT. Crisp and juicy, tart, green apple. Its flesh is a creamy light green, and it has a coarse texture with a flavor similar to McIntosh, only more tart. Store in your crisper drawer and eat within 3 weeks. Eco Apple Certified.
- Russet Potatoes from Burnt Rock Farm in Huntington, VT. Store potatoes in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area. Root cellars, cool pantries, or a basket on your countertop all work well! Enjoy within a month. Certified Organic.
