Maple Whipped Cream

This is what you've been looking for: fluffy, slightly sweet, and perfect atop your holiday pie.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- Attach the whisk attachment to a standing mixer, or get out a whisk and a chilled bowl.
- Combine all ingredients in bowl and whisk, either by hand for about 10 minutes, or on medium low for 1 min, then on high for 2 min.
- Over-mixing will result in some delicious maple butter, which isn't necessarily a bad thing but perhaps not what you were looking for. Stop mixing once soft peaks form.
- Can be made in advance - just whip a bit more immediately before serving.
